In 2003, At The Beach approached STAPLEGUN and requested the development of a new look, feel and attitude for its salons. The company needed solid brand repositioning and support collateral that had to be executed quickly and efficiently across its eight stores. STAPLEGUN introduced a cast of three animated characters via broadcast, online and print media to deliver the At The Beach’s messaging. The objective of the campaign was to reinforce At The Beach’s positioning as “the tanning superstore.” Not only did sales dramatically increase, but applications for employment also skyrocketed. Since announcing STAPLEGUN as At The Beach’s agency of record, the company has grown from eight stores in the Oklahoma City metro to more than 70 across four states.
