The Oklahoma Department of Commerce website primarily serves as a recruiting tool, and it’s treated as such from the home page on. It houses a ton of content – we turned a text-dense website into a series of digestible graphics, blurbs and videos to help smooth out the user experience. We highlight key industries in Oklahoma and keep the most relevant information front and center, so users don’t have to dig. Recruiting and lead generation are the goals, so we provide touch points throughout the site to make sure people who want to get in touch can do so. Finally, the use of bright colors in the design transcends the stale, expected look and feel of most government websites.
